Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force had the honour of being the traditional Hard Rock act on this annual returning festival. It was an oppressively warm and sunny day and the band experienced its baptism of fire on Dutch territory for about 15,000 visitors. Their performance was almost entirely dedicated to the recently released album "Marching Out". I'm not going to comment on Yngwie's technical qualities, because everyone knows his abilities by now. After this pretentious performance, with an expensive word, which sometimes got bogged down in endless fiddling on the square meter, I was allowed to have an audience with the wunderkind.
