Scorpions at IJsselhal, Zwolle, The Netherlands – 18th of November 1984.
Due to a malfunctioning camera I had to speed back to Deventer by train, during the support act Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. Luckily my parents were kind enough to meet me at the other end to hand over a fully functioning camera. I immediately jumped onto the next train back to Zwolle. Finally arriving back at the venue and entering the press entrance, the photo-booth was suddenly closed. For me it was a bit dispointing with all the rush for nothing, so I decided to take some shots from the crowd. The Scorpions generally performed all the well-known songs, the striking factor was how many ballads were on the setlist. All of this was propelled by a overwhelming light show in combination with a futuristic stage set up which gave a nice visual effect. This contributed to the fact that this was a show you shouldn’t miss.
