Suicidal Tendencies at the Rijnhal, Arnhem, The Netherlands, 11th of June 1989.
Since Suicidal Tendencies' debut album from '83, the band had been a major influence on both the Speed/Trash metal and skate punk scene. Headliner Anthrax, who were also big fans of this band, invited them as support act for the European leg of their “State of Euphoria” summer tour. In the early beginning of 1989, Suicidal’s bass player Bob Heathcote left the band, due to paternity issues, and was replaced by Robert Trujillo. His funk-based playing proved to be a striking asset to the group's sound and was also a fantastic visual highlight during their performance. This, together with the hyperactive stage presence of singer Mike Muir, no one could ignore this band. Suicidal Tendencies left a good impression behind, and gained some new fans. And by the way … everybody knows where Robert is playing now….
