Mad Max at Dynamo Open Air, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, 8th of June 1987
Mad Max is a hard rock band coming from Münster, Germany. At the time of the release of “Night of Passion (1987)”, the band showed a more melodic approach in their musical direction. And it contained some AOR influences, a bit like they used to play on the radio in the States. However, their new sound still continued with that hard, metal based edge with powerful melodies. Also, the vocals of Michael Voss contributed a lot to this new approach with good hooklines and melodies. They were definitely a band to check out...the only pity was that they came on stage much too early on in the festival line up. And.... the rain was already coming down in sheets.
