Status Quo at Erica Centrum, Apeldoorn, The Netherlands - 7th of November 1987.
Sometimes you have days when everything is chaotic and everything goes completely wrong. And this was one of those. First of all, I had an interview with singer-guitarist Francis Rossi, and the person in question wasn't the most talkative person in the world, so the answers just had to come out. Secondly: There was also some confusion about obtaining the photo pass for the gig. Perhaps this had to do with the new manager of the band or due to any other causes. Once you had received the accreditation, it was not entirely clear at that time whether you were allowed to take photographs with flash. So you were standing in the photo pit with the flash device mounted on your camera and suddenly you're taken out and instructed that it was not allowed to use it. So, you had to do the rest of the show without it. The management surrounding the band came across as very disorganised and chaotic, but one thing was for sure, the band played their classics for 2.5 hours long and many other bands can take an example from that. Certainly they gave their fans value for their money.
