Maggie’s Madness at Heavy Metal Hammer Show, Scheffelhalle, Singen, South-Germany, 22nd of December 1984.
Maggie's Madness is a melodic hard rock/heavy metal band from Nuremberg, Germany, that was originally formed in 1974. And believe it or not they initially called themselves “Madness”, but changed their name following the emergence of the well-known pop ska band of the same name. In 1982 Maggie’s Madness released their self-titled debut album, which featured hard rock compositions with catchy melodies. During that period, the band toured across Europe with Accept, Uriah Heep, Wishbone Ash and Dutch Rock & Roll rebel Herman Brood. Obtained a record deal with Belgium’s Mausoleum Records and recorded their follow-up album “On Fire” with producer Roger Brix. With this release Maggie’s Madness entered the international Heavy Metal charts. In 1985, Mausoleum Records went bankrupt and the band moved to Roadrunner Records. The group changed their name into Wild Cats, but unfortunately split up in 1986. But reformed again as Maggie's Madness and released an album in 2014.
